Parade of the fiesta committees of the Town´s festivities, the Countryside of Elche, Settlers of Elche, House of Andalucia and Aragon Centre – 21:45 h. MUSIC PERFORMANCE, all the bands will join to play some pieces together in the Plaça i Baix square. – 22:00 h. INAUGURAL SPEECH. From the Town Hall of Elche – 23:00 h. 24:00 H. SERENADE to the Virgin of the Assumption
Beginning of LA ROÀ ( “la roà” is a special ceremony consisting of a sort of individual procession, carrying a candle, along the same streets of the procession of the burial of the Virgin, on the following day. Such itinerary forms, roughly, the perimeter of the ancient medieval town of Elche. Although it is not an organised ceremony, the faithful participate throughout the whole night)
