The Elche International Independent Film Festival is an event where the best short films produced over the previous year are projected. These open-air projections take place simultaneously with the Palm Grove and one of Elche’s beaches providing peerless backdrops. The festival, with thirty previous editions has become a global benchmark for short-film festivals.

Mystery Play d’Elx
A lyrical medieval drama, declared a Masterpiece of World Oral and Intangible Heritage by UNESCO in 2001.
Elx Palm Grove
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000, the Palm Grove has over 200,000 palm trees.
